Definition
The smallest organizational unit in external accounting for which a complete, self-contained accounting system can be represented. This includes the entry of all events that require posting and the creation of all the supporting documents for statutory individual financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements. |

Purpose of use in CIS mobile
The company code is used to determine the standard currency key (table T001 - Company codes), the controlling area (table TK02 - Controlling area determination), read due items, and balances (tab page ACCOUNT).
